Tsunami in Japan
Tsunami in Japan may cause massive destruction
Tokyo Electric Power Co of Japan (Tokyo Electric Power Co- TEPCO) has warned of a tsunami again in the country. On Wednesday, Tapco assessed the government report, stating that the country may again face a dangerous tsunami that will also have an impact at the Fukushima Nuclear Station. The station was greatly affected by the 2011 severe earthquake and tsunami, which Tapco is trying to clean up the site of its Fukushima Daiichi plant.
At the same time, a panel of the Government of Japan has said that the country may once again face a dangerous tsunami. It has been warned that if a tsunami occurs this time, the waves will rise more than 30 meters or more than 98 feet and all this will happen after a strong earthquake. With this, the panel has said that the intensity of the earthquake can be 9 on the Richter scale.
Experts working on earthquakes and tsunamis say that earthquakes can occur in the earth’s plates at any time under the Pacific Ocean, due to which the country’s Hokkaido and Iwate perfectors can be vulnerable to tsunamis.
On behalf of the government panel, it has also been said that after every 300 to 400 years in Japan, the great earthquake and Mahasunami comes. Earlier it came in 17th century and now it is time again.
