Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed his monthly radio program Mann Ki Baat on Sunday amid the ongoing lockdown in the country regarding the corona virus epidemic. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the people under the 63rd edition of ‘Mann Ki Baat’. PM Modi at the beginning of his address apologized to the people for the inconvenience, but called the lockdown necessary.
PM Modi said that I am sorry for these harsh decisions, which have caused difficulties in your life, especially it has troubled the poor people more. I know some of you will be angry with me too. But these drastic measures were needed to win this battle.
PM Modi also said that the fight against corona is like a battle between life and death. PM Modi further said that the fight against the corona virus is difficult and such drastic decisions were needed to combat it. It is important to keep the people of India safe.
Corona is terrified beyond the borders
Addressing the people through Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi said that the corona virus is challenging everyone with knowledge, science, rich-poor, strong-weak. It is not limited to the boundaries of any country, nor does it make any distinction in region or weather.
PM’s salute to Corona warriors
In his address, PM Modi said that there are many warriors who are fighting the Coronavirus outside their homes rather than in their homes. These are our front line soldiers especially our siblings on duty as nurses, doctors and paramedical staff.
PM Modi said that I understand that no one wants to deliberately break the rules, but there are some people who are doing so. To them, I would say that if they do not follow it, they can get themselves infected with the corona virus.
Appreciation of nurses
Praising the nurses, PM Modi said that I appreciate the dedication and service of every nurse in the world.
PM Modi also said that precautions are most important in such times and I urge people to stay indoors. PM Modi said that All is well! We can be fine We should just be positive the whole time.
